Partnerships
ATEM collaborates and partners with organisations that share similar goals and objectives.
Association of University Administrators
ATEM and the Association of University Administrators in the UK have collaborated for a number of years on a range of activities, including reciprocal conference attendance and job exchanges. We have recently agreed to explore ways to strengthen our collaboration including the delivery of AUA's successful Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice (Higher Education Administration and Management) in Australia.
Customer Services Benchmarking Australia (CSBA)
ATEM's partnership is a new one, designed to deliver to the sector a comprehensive customer services benchmarking report. Information about the 2011 Benchmarking Project follows.

Every contact that is made is an opportunity to impress.
This contact could change the way you as a tertiary institution are seen by the public and your departmental staff. How do you know if you can improve your customer service and how you know what your customers are experiencing now?
CSBA is a proud sponsor ATEM (Association for Tertiary Education Management) since 2006. Our benchmarking program will run again in conjunction with the 2011 Student Service Centres Conference (SSCC). The program benchmarks your institution against Australia’s top 30 tertiary institutions. This year we are introducing our Customer Satisfaction Program to suit existing student service experience assessment.
A master class for the program participants will once again be run on the day before the SSC Conference.
More information HERE, or go to the CSBA website. Contact Charmain Bernard for more information about the Benchmarking Program.
Registrations close on 27 January 2011.

LH Martin Institute for Leadership and Management
The LH Martin Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Management was established to enhance tertiary education in Australia and New Zealand by providing a suite of programs and activities focused on institutional management and leadership, tailored to the particular needs of the sector.
ATEM has been a partner with the LH Martin Institute since the Institute's establishment. We run joint professional development programs, and develop tertiary education sector wide initiatives such as the Tertiary Education Associations Forum, which had a meeting in 2009 to determine interest is a regular gathering of Association heads in Australasia. We are currently collaborating on a mobility scheme for the sector with DEEWR.
ATEM and the Institute also jointly publish the Journal of Higher Education Management and Policy, and students in the Institute's Master of Tertiary Education Management receive a year's free membership of ATEM when they graduate.

Tertiary Education Facilities Managers Association (TEFMA)
ATEM and TEFMA have partnered for many years to run our successful flagship Tertiary Education Management Conference each year.
TEFMA assists facilities managers in universities, colleges and other educational institutions in the Asia-Pacific region by promoting excellence in the planning, construction, maintenance, operations and administration of educational facilities.
This partnership is an important one for ATEM, as we work to establish the TEMC as the pre-eminent conference for tertiary education professionals.
