Emotional Intelligence - 18/09/12 Melbourne
This course has two sections.
The first looks at the way emotional recognition and expression are learned and shaped, and how this affects attitudes and behaviour. It also includes discussion
on the range of individual differences in beliefs about, expression of, and responses to, particular emotions and their influence on workplace interactions. Triggers and over-reactions are covered, and techniques for recognising,
coping with, and modifying these and other experiences are covered.
There is discussion about anger and defensiveness, as they are powerful influences on many aspects of work interactions.
The second section covers ways to express feelings effectively in the workplace, techniques for skills speaking up and handling emotive situations with colleagues, clients and senior managers.
This course is for staff who want to understand the role that emotions play in their ability to perform, enjoy and be successful at work.
This course is designed for staff who want to empower themselves by strengthening their emotional style and perception.
It is an opportunity to validate the intuitive or emotional side of personality and the power it has to enhance all aspects of performance and interactions.
