Mark Hatwell, BA [Hons] (Melb), MA (Monash) – Manager, Student Enrolments, Student Administration, Student and Community Services Division, Monash University.
Mark has worked in policy and project roles since 1995 in Victorian state government departments and at two universities. He has been involved in policy development and review across a range of student administration functions at central and faculty levels, as well as academic-related issues such as assessment and appeals, academic progress, grievances, credit transfer, and special consideration.  Mark has also been responsible for online publication of policies, administering and presenting policy to senior committees, providing policy advice, and compliance reporting.
Dr Kai Jensen, BA [Hons] (Otago), PhD (Auckland) – Deputy Director, Academic Policy and Governance, Academic Registrar’s Group, RMIT University.
Kai has experience of a range of academic service, project and policy roles in five institutions in Victoria and New Zealand over the past 18 years. In his current role Kai is responsible for management of the development and review of academic policies at RMIT.
Kai and Mark were co-founders of the ATEM Institutional Policy Network and were among the group of editors of Policy without (much) pain (ATEM, 2010), a guide to better practice in institutional policy development and policy management.
